Apr 27, 2010 - @DetroitLove4U Exactly true. The media should influence this idea more, rather than keep people's mind in a box the government spoon feeds false information to, like sheep. Mankind should also no longer have no religious strings attached.

Jun 1, 2010 - @DetroitLove4U Nope! Don't get me wrong, I love astronomy but the master science is physics. Astronomy didn't give you the computer you're using, physics did.

Jun 4, 2010 - fabulous
GroogFish Says:
Jun 11, 2010 - @JmSantos78 A matter of opinion. It was biology that gave you a brain, the most complicated thing in the universe. It's physics that allows the particles to make up that brain. It's pure speculation that tells us where the innate laws of physics came from. Therefore, pure speculation is the ultimate science.
JmSantos78 Says:
Jun 11, 2010 - @GroogFish Noo! Speculation might give you an idea for an hypothesis, but that's as far as it goes. If you wanna go that far you might as well say the ultimate science is the existence of humans, because if there were no humans, there wouldn't be any science.
GroogFish Says:
Jun 11, 2010 - @JmSantos78 Isn't "science" as we know it present before humans name it? Does biology not have it's way before any creature is able to understand it? Of course it does. Perhaps you can say speculation requires humans, but science dose not.

Jun 22, 2010 - @ai6276 Isn't that the case with most types of science (except on different time scales)..?
myskyren Says:
Jun 22, 2010 - @rickysles public schools are utter shit everything should be taught more flexibly I think, and then maybe people would give a damn about even the most dense subjects
aalexa88 Says:
Jul 2, 2010 - @myskyren I agree. The system has so many flaws and the major cause is that whoever invented that system thought we're all ought to be robots. Learning is fun if you get the right teacher.
myskyren Says:
Jul 2, 2010 - @aalexa88 seriously, it can make it so much easier to learn I have always fucking hated math and recently various things have made me appreciate it more, and get less frustrated with it and suddenly I can understand chemistry much better and I'm even learning some very simple programming and not doing too bad yay for learning :)))
myskyren Says:
Jul 2, 2010 - @AntiLIEDude This is interesting and I won't call you crazy but I would like to ask you what reason would they have to cover up their finding? especially since honestly it's not like finding planets is that much of a surprise when you're looking in outer space :p plus why would they need to hide it with chem trails on earth and quakes/volcanoes/etc? are they trying to keep it a secret by killing the entire planet off or what? lol it's not like people can see the planet from earth (cont)
myskyren Says:
Jul 2, 2010 - @AntiLIEDude and I'm sure if astronomers want to look for it they'd still be able to. we have had tons of pollution for a while and it hasn't stopped cosmic discovery

Jul 4, 2010 - @lawsonbutcher I can't wait to learn astronomy in college =D
BRIANGOODSP33D Says:
Jul 5, 2010 - THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TEACHING ME
Tapion058 Says:
Jul 5, 2010 - @cryotimber It all depends on the teacher, College Astronomy (at the least the one I took) taught me nothing new and isn't as exciting as you would think, I have been studying it for years so there wasn't much for me to learn in class. I plan to take an Astrophysics course soon, only then will things really become interesting.
Tapion058 Says:
Jul 5, 2010 - @myskyren Math is only boring because they only tell you how to do it, not what to apply it to. Only then does math become interesting. Sadly enough, I didn't learn that until after High School.
cryotimber Says:
Jul 5, 2010 - @Tapion058 Huh..well I guess I'll take the Astronomy course and then the astrophysic =D or whatever order I need to take them in lol I'll be in there for 4-6 years ^^
Tapion058 Says:
Jul 12, 2010 - @cryotimber You'd want to take Astronomy, the classes are only as good as you make them. Astrophysics would come after. It's still a fun class, don't let me discourage you, you will like it if you like astronomy. It's just not as exciting as you would think. Make sure you know your math, you don't so much need it for an astronomy class as you would astrophysics. Anyways, Enjoy high school when you can, college is fun but ten times more work.
cryotimber Says:
Jul 12, 2010 - @Tapion058 I'm welcoming the work becuse it will instill it into my brain XD
